Exterior venetian blins
They retain the most essential advantage of interior blinds – i.e. a continuous control of light admission. Moreover, they add an extra effectiveness in fighting the sun glow.
Exterior horizontal blinds represent a modern means designed to ensure the optimum light and thermal ambience in interiors. At the same time, they are an interesting architectural component and round off the appearance of façades of family houses, dwelling and administration buildings in an appropriate way. Strong and resilient aluminium slats are distinguished for an attractive visual aspect, they allow a delicate control of daylight, they reduce noise coming from outside and, at the same time, offer one of the most effective ways of interior protection against overheating.
Product description
The shading surface proper is created of horizontal slats that can be tilted from the position of full closing to the maximum opening or can be folded up to the top. In order to increase their stability the slats are guided in side laths or by a string. In the top moulding there is fitted either a motor or a mechanical gear. During the installation, exterior blinds are inserted into prepared “pockets” created in the façade or are supplemented with a covering lath that hides the top moulding to protect it against climatic effects and has, at the same time, the function of an aesthetic component of the product.
Materials
Considering that the blinds are used outdoors all materials to be used are selected and tested with care in order to secure a long lifetime and a perfect functionality. The top moulding is made of steel, the covering lath and the guide laths are made of aluminium. Besides that, the guide laths are provided with a pressed-in rubber sealing to reduce noise arising from the wind. All aluminium parts of the product can be coated in the colour shade as selected.
Slats
The slats proper are made of a high-grade aluminium alloy and are offered in a broad range of colours. An advanced method of the paint application guarantees an increased colour stability and an easy cleaning. The slats are manufactured in several widths and in two basic shapes: with the C- or Z-shaped cross section.
Control
Not only for your convenience but also to enable central control and connection to a safety wind sensor we recommend to install exterior blinds with proven electric motors for 230V featuring a reliable and quiet operation.
Manual control: by means of handle extended into the interior or by a control string.
Maintenance
Exterior blinds are designed for current operation without any maintenance. Slats and other aluminium parts are washable.
