Façade sun control system is a collective designation for shading and façade elements designed for the protection of buildings and their users against direct effects of sunlight and against thermal radiation. Façade sun control systems reduce both installation and operation costs of air-conditioning and ventilation systems of buildings in a cogent and marked way. Aside from their excellent properties they draw attention because of their appealing design.

That is why façade sun control systems are mostly integral parts of prepared projects today but can also be integrated into the existing building frontage additionally.

Product description

Fixed façade sun control systems consist of aluminium slats of C- or Z-shaped cross section which are fixed to metal holders. The whole system is designed with utmost rigidity and resistance against external influences.
Movable façade sun control systems (so-called sun wings) are made up of separate parallel aluminium sections. Actuated by an electric motor, the "wings" are tilted as necessary to obtain the optimum effect.

Materials

Only the really top grade materials can guarantee a perfect appearance and a faultless function under difficult external conditions. Extruded aluminium sections meet even the most stringent demands. The most stressed parts of movable façade sun control systems – such as shafts or rack-and-pinion gears – are manufactured of high-strength steel grades.

Control

Sun wings are equipped with an electric motor drive. They can be controlled via a push-button but the best thermal and light comfort for the user is ensured by a control system designed for an automatic tilting of wings depending on the actual outdoor temperature and the position of the Sun.

Maintenance

Façade sun control systems belong among maintenance-free mechanisms. In the event of movable sun wings we recommend regular preventive inspections to be carried out by specialist technicians.
